CHICAGO – The Chicago Sky today announced theme nights and promotional giveaways for 13 home games for the upcoming 2023 season. In addition to watching the Sky at Wintrust Arena, fans will have many exciting opportunities to receive Chicago Sky prizes and giveaways, participate in fan contests and attend special themed night games.

HOME OPENING – Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

To kick off the 2023 season, the Sky will host their home opener against Washington presented by the University of Chicago Medicine on Friday, May 26 at 7 p.m. CST at Wintrust Arena. Fans in attendance will also win the rally towel in the shape of a Chicago Sky heroine’s jersey.

GUEST DJ: Former basketball player turned DJ/producer HoneyLuv will be the featured guest DJ for the opening night. HoneyLuv has performed at some of the most prestigious festivals and venues in the country, including Coachella, EDC, Space Miami, Brooklyn Mirage and many more. She was recently named BBC Radio 1’s Future Star of 2023 and will bring high energy beats and house music to Wintrust Arena. Additional guest DJs will be featured throughout the season.

JUNETEENTH – Presented by Crown Royal

Chicago will host Indiana on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. CST, where fans will receive a specially designed Juneteenth bag to celebrate the freedom of Black Americans and celebrate Black history in America. The bag will be designed by local streetwear designer SOUNDOFF® Design.

PRIDE NIGHT – Presented by Avison Young

On Thursday, June 22 at 7 p.m. CST against Washington, fans in attendance will receive a one-of-a-kind original poster celebrating LGBTQ+ inclusion and allyship, created by internationally renowned illustrator Lisa Congdon. An exclusive Chicago Sky t-shirt, crafted with Lisa’s Congdon’s signature art style, will also be available for purchase.

SKY GUY’S BIRTHDAY – Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

Sky’s third Theme Night of June, Wednesday, June 28 at 11am CST against Los Angeles, will celebrate Sky Guy’s birthday. Fans in attendance will receive a Sky Guy birthday poster.

MILITARY APPRECIATION EVENING – Presented by Magellan Corporation

To close out the month of June, Chicago will host Los Angeles on Friday, June 30 at 7 p.m. CST to show support and gratitude to all of our active military and veterans. Those in attendance will receive a Chicago Sky-inspired dog tag to honor the military.

DICK’S SPORTS MATTER NIGHT – Presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods

Against Atlanta on Sunday, July 9 at 7 p.m. CST, Chicago will celebrate the Tournament of Champions during our Sports Matter Night! Fans in attendance will receive a Sky branded t-shirt supporting DICK’s Sporting Goods Foundation.

WOMEN AND GIRLS CELEBRATION EVENING – Presented by Horizon Therapeutics

On Tuesday, July 25 against Last Vegas at 6 p.m. CST, the Sky will host a Women and Girls Night celebration. The game will also highlight the women and girls of the Chicagoland area, as well as a collectible card game from Sky Players. A pre-game panel featuring the Chicago Network and other guests will discuss topics such as promoting equality for women and investment opportunities in women’s sports.

HEALTH AND WELL-BEING EVENING – Presented by the University of Chicago Medicine

To kick off Health and Wellness Month presented by the University of Chicago Medicine, the Sky will host its Health and Wellness Night on Tuesday, August 8 at 7 p.m. CST against Minnesota. Each quarter will focus on a different health topic, Sky-branded resistance bands will be used by players for pre-game warm-ups, and women’s wellness highlights will be included throughout the match.

WOMEN’S CANCER AWARENESS EVENING – Presented by University of Chicago Medicine

On Sunday, August 20 at 4 p.m. CST, the Sky will host Connecticut’s Women’s Cancer Awareness Night to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and using local resources. A specially designed headband will be given to fans as part of the themed evening.

MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS EVENING – Presented by Mesirow

For the second year in a row, the Sky will host a Mental Health Awareness Night on Tuesday, August 22 at 7 p.m. CST against Seattle, with the goal of educating and providing leads and resources to mental health spaces. An original Sky affirmation group, as well as other mental health resources, will be shared with fans. The Sky will partner with creative agency OKRP and Alkeme Health to bring the programming to life.

HBCU NIGHT – Presented by 23andMe

On Thursday, August 24 at 7 p.m. CST against Las Vegas, the Chicago Sky will dedicate this evening to celebrating the educational excellence and unique culture of more than 100 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), originally founded as institutions of higher education for African Americans. Fans will take home a Sky-branded HBCU bag, designed by SOUNDOFF® Design.

– MARVEL SUPER HERO™ NIGHT – Presented by Magellan

For the first time in Chicago Sky history, Sky will launch its first-ever Marvel Super Hero™ Party, in collaboration with Marvel Entertainment. An original Marvel character figurine will be given to the first 3,000 fans and a personalized Marvel Sky poster will be given to all fans during the Sunday, September 3 game against New York at 2:00 p.m. CST.

FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT CELEBRATING CHICAGO CULTURE – Presented by Wintrust

The fan favorite is back! The annual fan appreciation game will take place on Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m. CST against Minnesota – the final home game of the regular season. The Sky will celebrate Skytown throughout the game with a focus on local cuisine, culture and art. The giveaway will be the 2023 team poster, with a local Chicago twist.
