Minneapolis – Carlos Correa made great efforts to put her feet back in full force.
After the plantar fasciitis has interrupted a second consecutive season with the Minnesota twins, the triple all-star stopst stop will be ready for spring training next month without restriction.
“I sprint. I ran. I did for everything, ”said Correa on Saturday at the annual team fans of the team in Target Field. “I focused on treatment not only, but also strengthening, a lot of barefoot walking in the house now. All this helps work on my toes and all that. So I’m in a very good place.”
Correa appreciated his most productive season with the Twins, and by most accounts its best season since 2017 with the Astros of Houston, until a series of three games on artificial lawn in Arizona triggers the pain around His heel right at the end of June. He played for a few weeks, but the stars break did not provide the relief on which he counted.
Correa ended up missing more than two months, and the twins finally collapsed while one of their most important players was sidelined. He joined the Freefalling team in recent weeks, but his presence was not sufficient. The Twins finished an 82-80 bitterly disappointing after losing 27 of their last 39 games.
“It was difficult, but you just have to throw it into the drain and focus on the next one. I feel like I have a large team, “said Correa, who was limited by plantar fasciitis in his left foot in 2023.” We have a lot of young guys with so much potential, and if we put work, we will be in an ideal place.
After a visit to a specialist in California during its prolonged absence last year, Correa began the shock wave waves in the affected area of its foot designed to increase blood circulation and regenerate damaged tissues. This will be part of his diet to move forward, as well as an additional support in his crampons to alleviate the pressure on his heels. He was so desperate for a solution last year, he started cutting his crampons and sting holes in his soles.
“The only thing everyone knows about Carlos: he will prepare as well as anyone can do everything you need on and off the field to manage it,” said team president Derek Falvey. “I hope we will get there.”
This season, the Twins are considering additional matches at the designated striker to help keep Correa later. Their depth on the ground – with Royce Lewis, Brooks Lee, Jose Miranda, Edouard Julien and Willi Castro should help with this objective. The question to be answered during training in the spring is who will play where. The first basis is the most obvious position for the catch, after the departure of Carlos Santana.
With the club currently on sale and essentially in a freezing freezing, the list of major leagues has not yet had notable additions. Correa’s healthy return would greatly contribute to operating this status-quo strategy work for twins in 2025.
Although Correa’s name was released by the major league rumors factory this winter, he said he was not concerned with such a noise because of his non-exchange clause.
“Let me tell you something: I like Minnesota and I love fishing here,” said Correa.
