Injuries hampered what was supposed to be another memorable event WNBA season for Indiana fever superstar Caitlin Clark. The 6-foot guard suffered several injuries throughout her sophomore season. Clark dealt with a preseason leg issue, a quad injury and left and right groin injuries. Ultimately, she was ruled out for the remainder of the season in September with a right groin injury.
Clark was limited to 13 games in 2025, averaging 16.5 points on 36.7% shooting, 5.0 rebounds, 8.8 assists, 1.6 steals and 2.2 triples in 31.1 minutes per game. The 23-year-old was still named All-Star for a second consecutive year.

The Fever did what they could to keep fans engaged throughout the WNBA offseason. On Thursday, the team took to social media to get in on the 2016 trend. The Fever posted a handful of player photos from a decade ago. Fans were excited to see what Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull, and Sydney Colson looked like in 2016.
“team back in 2016 👀” The Fever posted on Instagram.
There was no photo of Clark, however. The Fever superstar decided to jump into the comments section to share her reaction to the team’s decision to leave her out of the comeback post.

“Can’t get it,” Clark responded, noting that the team couldn’t find a photo of her from 2016.
The Fever acknowledged Clark’s statement. “I scrolled and couldn’t find anything 😭,” the team admitted.
Fever forward Chloe Bibby also responded to Clark’s comment. “Were you even walking then? Or were you still in diapers?” » asked Bibby.
“That’s fair,” the former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar responded.
Clark has already recovered from her season-ending injury. In December, she attended her first senior Team USA training camp in preparation for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. Clark said: “It’s nice to finally be back one hundred percent.”
