Kostadinski, 19, was selected by the Bruins with the 220th overall pick in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound defenseman is an old-school defensive defenseman who plays a heavy game. For that reason, he’s certainly an interesting prospect that Bruins fans should pay attention to.
Kostadinski spent last season with Frolunda HC’s U20 team, where he had three goals, 18 points, 63 penalty minutes and a plus-15 rating. Overall, it was a good year for the left-shot defenseman, and it will now be interesting to see how he fares with the Fighting Saints this season and then BC later.
This is certainly a big decision on Kostadinski’s part, as he will have the incredible opportunity to play for one of the best programs in college hockey. Plus, the Bruins must be happy, as he will be developing his game in the same city once he makes the jump to the college level.
