OKC Thunder center Bismack Biyombo collapsed on the bench in frightening scenes during his team’s match against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday (all times AEDT).
The worrying moment occurred in the first half, when Biyombo unexpectedly fell to the ground as his teammates headed to the bench for a timeout.
His teammates and officials gathered around Biyombo before he was finally able to leave the field without assistance.

Fortunately, Biyombo has been cleared of any serious medical issues by Portland doctors, according to Thunder sideline reporter Nick Gallo.
However, OKC reportedly took a conservative approach with the big man and held him in check for the rest of the game before evaluating him further tomorrow.
Biyombo signed with the Thunder last month to add on-court depth to Mark Daigneault’s team.
This happened in a game where Josh Giddey shot an incredible 8 of 9 from the field for 19 points, adding six rebounds and seven assists as the Thunder rolled to a 128-120 victory.
Fellow Australian Dup Reath supported his career-best outing earlier this week with 16 points and five rebounds, again starting at center with DeAndre Ayton sidelined.
