Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann caught up on some NFL action during the October international break.
Griezmann’s recent decision to retire from international football with France has given the veteran a period of rest.
As part of a club-sanctioned vacation, Griezmann traveled to London to watch a clash between the Jacksonville Jaguars. and the Chicago Bear Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The expansion of NFL action in Europe will continue in 2025 with a game on the agenda at Real Madrid Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.
Griezmann’s love of the NFL is an important trait for the Frenchman and he admitted to trying to persuade the club to stage a match at the Estadio Metropolitano.
“I tried with people from the club and the NFL. The stadium, for me, is the most beautiful there iswith the parking lot and the ‘fan zones’ which could be created there”, according to information from Marca.
Griezmann returns to Madrid ahead of Rojiblancos return La Liga action on October 20 with a home derby against Leganes.
The 33-year-old has impressed since the start of the campaign with five assists and three goals in all competitions so far in 2024/25.
