Aiyuk practiced with the team for the first time since last season after contract negotiations took place throughout the spring and summer before the two sides reached an agreement. a four-year, $120 million contract last week, ending months of resistance and blockades.
McCaffrey missed most of training camp and all three preseason games after suffering a calf strain early August, but he was present with the team every day and has been seen rehabilitating on the sidelines in recent weeks.
Williams and the 49ers reportedly still have a few minor details to iron out before the All-Pro can sign his revamped contract and return to practice, but his appearance at the facility and on the field is certainly a good sign that he’ll be joining his teammates soon.
