Rondale Moore leads Purdue football upset of No. 2 Ohio State
Superfan Tyler Trent predicted a Purdue victory on ESPN’s College GameDay. Moore assured it happened on a grand scale, including a landmark clip that will be shown in West Lafayette for decades. Moore caught a swing pass from David Blough, broke through a trio of Ohio State defenders before running for a 43-yard touchdown to seal the upset on October 20, 2018. Moore finished with 252 all-purpose yards, including 12 receptions for 170 yards and two touchdowns.

Rondale Moore brings Purdue Football Bowl berth with IU win
Purdue had some sticking points during its 2018 season, including a heartbreaking triple overtime loss to Wisconsin that set the stage for the regular season finale. The Boilermakers had to beat rival Indiana to become bowl eligible. Moore had 12 catches for 141 yards and two touchdowns in a 28-21 victory on November 24, 2018, sending the Boilers to the Music City Bowl.
Rondale Moore has a career-high in receiving yards against Vanderbilt
In the history of Purdue’s offensive air attack, many pass catchers have put up big numbers. Only three have surpassed the receiving yardage total set by Moore on September 7, 2019. Moore caught 13 passes for 220 yards and scored a touchdown in Purdue’s 42-24 win over Vanderbilt.

Rondale Moore makes big Purdue football debut against Northwestern
After helping New Albany win an Indiana Class 4A state basketball championship, Moore transferred to Trinity Lutheran High School in Louisville. It happened to be the alma mater of then-Purdue football coach Jeff Brohm, who managed to lure Moore away from Texas, where he was verbally committed. In a half against Northwestern in his first game, Moore became a Purdue legend. At halftime of his first game, Moore had 302 all-purpose yards. He finished with a Purdue record 313, breaking a 46-year-old record previously held by Otis Armstrong on August 31, 2018.
Rondale Moore has a big day to upset Boston College
Purdue had higher expectations in 2018 than during its 0-3 start. The Boilers could ill afford a fourth straight loss to open the season, but faced undefeated No. 23 Boston College. Moore caught two of David Blough’s three touchdown passes, finishing with 110 yards on eight receptions. In total, Moore had 157 yards in a 30-13 victory.
