Nick Kyrgios at the 2026 Australian Open

The only way Kyrgios can play at the 2026 Australian Open is if he receives a wildcard into the main draw.

Currently, he has not yet received one, but it is likely that the organizers of the Australian Open will grant him one due to his ability to create publicity.

He is likely to get one if his body holds up until the Brisbane International, which starts on January 4.

Nick Kyrgios’ next match: Brisbane International awaits

After beating Aryna Sabalenka in Battle of the Sexes, Kyrgios received a wildcard into the Brisbane International – where he will compete in the main draw on January 4.

His opponent will probably be finalized the day before.

At the Brisbane International 2025, Kyrgios lost in three sets to rising French talent Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard 6-7 7-6 6-7/

After Brisbane, Kyrgios committed to playing in the Kooyong Classic before the Australian Open.

Nick Kyrgios’ ATP rankings

After being injured for much of the last three years, Kyrgios’ ranking has dropped to 671st in the world.

He has a career ranking of 13, achieved in 2016.
