BATON ROUGE – East Lane Kiffin will hold back Frank Wilson?
This is one of the biggest questions since Kiffin was hired as LSU football head coach at the end of November. It appears LSU fans have their answer as Wilson is expected to accept a job at Ole Mademoiselleaccording to CBS Sports on Tuesday evening.

THE Texas Bowlwhich the Tigers (7-5) face in Houston on Dec. 27 (8:15 p.m. CT, ESPN), will be Wilson’s final game at LSU.

Wilson is LSU’s interim coach from his former head coach Brian Kelly was dismissed on October 26. He led the Tigers to two wins in their final four games of the regular season.
After being hired earlier this month, Kiffin has been busy filling out his first recruiting class at LSU while simultaneously filling out his assistant coaching staff.
He’s made hires for nearly all of his assistant positions, retaining most of LSU’s defensive staff from last season, headlined by defensive coordinator Blake Baker. On offense, Kiffin brought offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. with him to Baton Rouge since Ole Mademoisellewith quarterbacks coach Dane Stevens, wide receivers coach George McDonald and tight ends coach and co-offensive coordinator Joe Cox.

One position he has yet to fill is running backs coach, a position Wilson has coached at LSU for the past four years.
Earlier this month, Wilson said he planned to find out what his future would be with LSU and the program after the conclusion of the Texas Bowl.
“For me and for Coach Kiffin, it’s ‘let’s play this game on the 27th and we’ll get to those details later,'” Wilson said. “We just want to finish what we started with this football team. Give our full attention before the transition takes place.”
“By then, nothing will necessarily happen in that regard. There will be an opportunity there, I’m not sure. But the priority is our current football team.”
