NEW YORK — Lauri Markkanen scored 30 points, Keyonte George had 29 and Utah used a huge fourth quarter to beat Brooklyn.

The Jazz dominated the Nets 42-20 in the final quarter after trailing by 15 points in the first half. Markkanen and George almost dominated the Nets on their own, totaling 18 points.

Kyle Filipowski had 15 points and Walter Clayton Jr. added 13 off the bench for Utah, which shot 14 of 22 (63.6%) in the fourth.

Noah Clowney scored 29 points and Ziaire Williams had 23 off the bench for the Nets, who had their two-game winning streak snapped.

TORONTO — Rui Hachimura scored a three-pointer off a pass from LeBron James as time expired to give the Los Angeles Lakers a 123-120 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday night.

The assist to Hachimura ended James’ NBA record streak of 1,297 consecutive double-digit regular-season games. He finished with eight points, shooting just 4 of 17. He went 0 of 5 from three-point range and did not attempt a free throw. His assist to Hachimura was his 11th.

Austin Reaves scored 44 points, including 22 in the third quarter, as the Lakers overcame the absence of Luka Doncic.

After Toronto’s Brandon Ingram came up empty on a layup with 23 seconds left in the fourth, James fed Hachimura in the corner for the game-winning basket. It was Hachimura’s only successful shot in the final quarter.

Deandre Ayton scored 17 points, Jake LaRavia 14 and Hachimura and Nate Smith Jr. each 12 as the Lakers rebounded from Monday’s home loss to Phoenix to win for the eighth time in nine.

Reaves had 10 assists. He shot 13 of 15 from the free throw line and shot 5 of 11 from long range.

Los Angeles is 9-2 on the road.

Scottie Barnes scored 23 points and Ingram 20 for the Raptors. JaKobe Walter scored 17 points, and Sandro Mamukelashvili and Immauel Quickley each had 13.

WASHINGTON — Derrick White scored a career-high 30 points, Jordan Walsh added a career-high 22, and Boston, playing without Jaylen Brown, routed Washington.

White had nine assists and seven rebounds to help the Celtics improve to 13-9. They won eight out of ten.

CJ McCollum led Washington with 22 points. Khris Middleton had 15. The 45-point loss was the worst of the season as the Wizards fell to 3-18. They lost for the 10th consecutive time against Boston.

Brown, who scored a season-high 42 points against the New York Knicks on Tuesday night, was ill.

Peyton Pritchard had 20 points and eight assists for Boston. Neemias Queta scored 17 points and Afrernee Simons added 16.

PHILADELPHIA – Rookie VJ Edgecombe kicked the go-ahead goal with 0.9 seconds left, Tyrese Maxey fired back for a game-saving blocked shot and Philadelphia beat Golden State shorthanded.

Maxey scored 35 points but missed a jumper as the 76ers trailed by one point. Edgecombe tipped it, but the Warriors quickly threw an inside pass to De’Anthony Melton, who had broken down down the field. Maxey came back to block the shot off the backboard just before time expired.

Joel Embiid had 12 points in his return to the 76ers lineup.

Pat Spencer scored 16 points for the Warriors, who erased a 24-point deficit despite playing with their two leading scorers, Stephen Curry (left quad bruise) and Jimmy Butler (left knee soreness), then lost Draymond Green to an injured right foot late in the second quarter.

Maxey’s three-pointer made it 67-43 with 8:06 left in the third quarter. But the Warriors used a 15-0 run early in the fourth quarter to get back into the contest, then took a late lead before Edgecome stole an inside pass with 8.2 seconds left.

TIMBERWOLVES 125, PELICANS 116

NEW ORLEANS — Julius Randle had 28 points and nine rebounds, carrying Minnesota on a quiet night from Anthony Edwards against New Orleans.

Edwards finished with just 11 points in 31 minutes. He scored a season-high 44 points Tuesday in Minnesota’s 146-142 overtime victory in the first game of the two-game series.

Naz Reid added 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Timberwolves, who won their fourth straight game. Rudy Gobert had 15 points and 12 rebounds, and Donte DiVincenzo also had 15 points.

Trey Murphy III had 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for the Pelicans, who have lost five straight and fell to 3-20. Jeremiah Fears and Saddiq Bey each added 20 points.
