Ormonde Villa has wished club player Huw Lawlor “the best of luck on his journey” as he leaves the Kilkenny bend over for exciting adventures abroad.
THE Kilkenny and O’Loughlin Gaels full-back has been on the county panel since 2018, winning three All-Stars in a black and amber jersey.

However, in a blow to local GAA fans, it has been widely reported in recent months that Lawlor (29) and his inter-county teammate Billy Ryan were planning to go on a trip in 2026, with Derek Lyng expected to be without their services for the new season.
But, before jetting off to the other side of the world, it was the big ball rather than the throw and sliotar for the O’Loughlins prop, who played several matches for Division Two side Ormonde Villa, a club in the powerful hurler defender’s home parish.
