When the New York Liberty split from Sandy Brondello a year after winning a WNBA title, it became clear that they were going to take a big hit.
It connected on Friday, as the Liberty agreed to hire longtime Golden State Warriors assistant Chris DeMarco as their next head coach, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.

DeMarco has been with the Warriors since 2012, helping the last team in the NBA dynasty win four rings. He also has head coaching experience as he manages the Bahamas men’s national team.
