The Céline Boutier française produced a breathtaking endurance program to keep its LPGA match hopes on Saturday, crushing through 45 amazing holes before the darkness breaks its duel in the quarter -finals with Madelene Sagstrom de Sweden.

The exhausting day of the 11th series of 31 years started in the last 16, when his match against Ashleigh Buhai in South Africa finished all-valley after 18 holes on the golf course of Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.

This sent the two players to a sudden dramatic marathon session, which Boutier won the 28th hole – the longest match in the history of the tournament.

“It was really difficult, certainly a version,” said Boutier.

“I have the impression that we both played quite stable and that we made a lot of back and forth. I had a few chances, and she had a few chances, so it was just until the end, but I’m glad it’s over.”

After this energy victory, Boutier had only 30 minutes before she was back on the course for her quarter -final against Sagstrom.

Another tense fight took place, with the level of the players after 17 holes when the darkness stopped the game.

Boutier and Sagstrom will return early Sunday to play the 18th, with a possibility of holes even more playoffs.

“It was a very long day,” said Boutier after the suspension of the game.

“I feel a little tired, but I have the impression that it was still a good match this afternoon, very tight and going back and forth with Madelene. So, I just continued to push tomorrow.”

Boutier or Sagstrom will face a semi-final against Angel Yin in the United States, who beat Jeeno Thitikul 4 & 2 in Thailand.

Fellow Thai Ariya Jutanugarn reached the semi-finals by beating Maja Stark 4 & 2 from Sweden

Ariya will face Lauren Cochlin from the United States after Coughlin had a victory in one go on Stephanie Kyriacou in Australia.
