WNBA activity is booming, with rapid expansion and broader television and streaming coverage on the horizon. Thursday, the title champion of the WNBA New York Liberty announced that they would inaugurate a training center of $ 80 million and 75,000 square feet located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, “overlooking the emblematic Skyline of Manhattan”.
The team press release noted that the training center “underlines the dedication of the organization to provide its world class players from unwavering resources all year round that produce championship results and sustained success, by developing revolutionary investments in Brooklyn and allowing community opportunities”.
The Liberty, one of the inaugural franchises of the WNBA created in 1997, won its first WNBA championship last season.
The training installation is planned to include two complete training grounds, an outdoor basketball court, a dining room as a rooftop bridge, an interior and outdoor strength training room, a recovery series, a hair studio, nails and internal make -up, two private family salons with families and separate nurseries.
