What’s going on between JT Miller and the Vancouver Canucks?
Eliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported Saturday that discussions between the Canucks and New York Rangers were progressing regarding a trade for Miller before everything fell apart.
We now learn that even Miller was thinking of going to New York.
“I think there was a point on Friday where it was close with the Rangers, and Miller was told it was close.” » said Friedman.
Why was this deal canceled when it was so close to being finalized?
“I think there was something going on with Rangers, and I think it fell apart,” » said Friedman. “And I don’t know. I have some theories, but I just don’t have enough evidence. I don’t think Miller vetoed it. For whatever reason, I just don’t think we have reached the finish line.
At this time, it is unclear if the Canucks and Rangers have resumed negotiations or if talks have broken down completely.
