What’s going on between JT Miller and the Vancouver Canucks?
Eliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reported Saturday that discussions between the Canucks and New York Rangers were progressing regarding a trade for Miller before everything fell apart.
We now learn that even Miller was thinking of going to New York.
โI think there was a point on Friday where it was close with the Rangers, and Miller was told it was close.โ ยป said Friedman.
Why was this deal canceled when it was so close to being finalized?
โI think there was something going on with Rangers, and I think it fell apart,โ ยป said Friedman. “And I don’t know. I have some theories, but I just don’t have enough evidence. I don’t think Miller vetoed it. For whatever reason, I just don’t think we have reached the finish line.
At this time, it is unclear if the Canucks and Rangers have resumed negotiations or if talks have broken down completely.
