One of the many benefits of having a few weeks off after playing a football game is that you get healthier over time and luckily for the Oregon Ducks football team, they are as healthy as they were before the Rose Bowl. all season.

The big story is the possible return of cornerback Jahlil Florence, who missed much of the season with a leg injury. Whether or how much he plays remains to be seen, but having him on the field is a huge bonus.

Florence has 35 tackles and two interceptions in his two years with the Ducks. Due to injury, he will redshirt this season and retain his junior year. But playoff games don’t count toward his eligibility. Oregon might need Florence against Ohio State with the The dangerous passing of the Buckeyes attack and elite receivers. One more body on that depth chart couldn’t hurt.

Defensive end Jordan Burch, who did not play in this first game, is also expected to return to full fitness. Oregon could not dismiss quarterback Will Howard, but having Burch in the lineup could change that in a big way.
