Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee hasn’t been shy about discussing the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Tour. On Wednesday, he took to Twitter again, this time using some very racy language.
He cited and included a Politico article detailing part of LIV and its ties to Saudi Arabia.
As I have said many times, LIV Golf is not so much a sports entity as it is an attempt by MBS/Saudi Arabia to hide his atrocities and whitewash his reputation by buying sports stars. Any concession or deal with them is a deal with a murderous dictator. https://t.co/dGaTYNlWYJ pic.twitter.com/eUxCrLmRTR

Chamblee, future Hall of Famer and current LIV golfer Phil Mickelson traded insults online recently. The situation got very intense, leading Chamblee to block Mickelson on Twitter.
The controversial topic of LIV Golf reached a climax recently after Brooks Koepka wins 105th PGA Championship Less than two weeks ago, Koepka, a member of the LIV Golf Tour, became the first such member to win a major championship since its inception.
This has sparked discussion about whether or not Koepka and other LIV golfers deserve to be in the Ryder Cup this autumn.
World number one Scottie Scheffler was the first to voice his support for Koepka’s bid for the U.S. team. Jon Rahm, with whom Scheffler shares the top spot in the Official World Golf Ranking, reiterated that sentiment.
Earlier Wednesday, Rory McIlroy, arguably the biggest face in the sport after Tiger Woods, made his position clear. He believes that winning should be based solely on merit, announcing that he believes Koepka has earned that right. However, he does not believe that any of the LIV golfers who join him in the European team should not be part of the Ryder Cup.
