In the Post 5 race in Hogansville, a new representative will be elected, as Jason Baswell and Kandis Strickland are both newcomers to Hogansville politics.
Jason Baswell
1. Give me your last-second argument for why someone should vote for you.
“I feel like I’m very qualified to help the city.” I have a lot of experience operating with many aspects of budgeting and zoning planning.
2. List your top three priorities.
“Security/emergency services, infrastructure and third would be an open line of communication with the public.”
3. Which of these priorities can you immediately make a difference? How and why?
“I opened communication with the public, I went out and met them. I would let them know what is going on and encourage them to attend the meetings.
4. How would you handle a situation where the majority of the board had a different opinion from you and you had to influence their opinion?
“I would present facts about why I think it should go one way or the other to let them know my thought process on a certain topic.”
5. What is an interesting fact about you that voters may not know?
“I really enjoy going to cheer competitions and Callaway football games with my daughter.”
