7 reasons why we love football

Why people hate football is a mystery. Haters continually say, “It’s a sport for weak people,” “It’s too long and boring,” and “It’s just a bunch of fairies running around.” It’s just funny to hear, because it takes a lot of skill to get where the pros are going.

We all have the right to have opinions; However, if we football fans were to talk about other sports, be it soccer, baseball, or basketball, their fans will get defensive and act like their sport is the best in the world.

Now, don’t get me wrong; I love basketball. It’s my favorite sport After soccer. Football is undoubtedly the world’s sport. I don’t want to be biased against baseball and football, even though I can’t really watch either sport without getting bored.

But that’s not the point of this article. You see, the subject of this article is to show why we football fans love the sport. Now here are the seven reasons why we love this game.

I’m sure 90 percent of young football fans play this game. We control the outcome of the match.

FIFA This is one of the main reasons why I started watching football more frequently as a young boy. Not only is it entertaining, but it can teach you a lot about football.

Of course, this is not the best method to learn how to play this sport; nevertheless, you know which defensive transitions to make, when to send a cross into the box and when to capitalize on a shot.

Whether you play with a friend, a foe, or someone you met online, it’s a great way to have fun and practice the best sport in the world.

Big games are one of the reasons we watch football. This creates great debates and lots of fun. We’re still trying to figure out who the top team is, and we’re doomed to be right.

Whether it’s Brazil against Argentina or Manchester United against Chelsea, we don’t want our team to lose. Plus, these big matches tend to be something special that everyone can enjoy. Especially the matches in which Lionel Messi faces Cristiano Ronaldo.

Big games usually come with big expectations and teams can usually pull it off.

If your parents loved this sport, it is obvious that your father or mother would love to introduce this great sport into your world.

As a kid, you were probably more interested in old episodes of “Sponge Bob” or good old Disney Channel cartoons. Sports were probably the last thing on your mind. Then, out of nowhere, your dad changes the channel and you watch the team you’ll later support in three years.

In disgust, you throw a fit and whine at your father until he changes the channel. He does otherwise and ignores you. You end up watching the entire game, still angry that you didn’t get to watch your cartoon.

After this experience, you probably started to like this sport a little. Then, while your father continually organizes the games, you start watching them with him.

He then decides that you are old enough to take the next step towards football, which leads to our next slide.

Your father decides to explain the rules to you and puts you on a team with a group of kids you’ve never met. This is also why football is so great. You can also form lasting friendships.

Either way, you play the game and you keep playing and playing until you’re old and gray. At least that’s how most people live.

Everyone who plays soccer probably wants to grow up and become the same thing: a professional soccer player. By playing and watching this sport, you can grow and make this dream come true.

The pride of your team is staying by their side, whatever happens. Pride isn’t about changing teams because that team has the best chance of winning (I’m looking at you, Miami Heat bandwagon fans!). Pride is trusting your team. Either way, you show pride in your team by supporting them through good times and bad.

I love my teams, Club America and the Los Angeles Lakers. So whenever someone disrespects them, I get angry. And I’m pretty sure most fans do the same thing with their team. This is the pride we have for our team. This is what separates us from casual fans.

Even if your team has had a horrible season or performance in a game, you will still support that club.

It’s something that brings a country together every four years. Although there are many friendlies and other tournaments that your club can win, this is the one we always hope to win.

The World Cup symbolizes that your country is the best football in the world. This is the first thing to expect when it comes to sports, in my opinion. Forget the Super Bowl, the World Cup result shows who is the best in the world world.

If your team is the best in the world, you have bragging rights. Humiliating your opponents is unsportsmanlike, but the pride within you says otherwise.

The sport itself is magnificent. Everyone can practice this sport. It doesn’t matter if you’re skinny and 5’2″. It doesn’t matter if you’re 6’7″ and have biceps the size of my head. This is a really great game that anyone can play.

You don’t even need proper equipment. You can play at the beach, with a volleyball, barefoot, and have your goal posts in the form of two backpacks. You can play alone, simply by juggling the ball.

It’s easily the sport of the entire world, other than America. Which is a real shame, because most people are so ignorant that they consider football to be β€œanother” sport. That’s the biggest lie I’ve ever heard. It’s not just a game, it’s a passion.

Sport changes us as human beings. They can break down barriers of language, race, creed and color. We can all enjoy sport together, regardless of what separates us as people. Nothing has demonstrated how much more equality sports can bring than football.

Tell me what you think! Is football your favorite sport? Because it’s mine. Thanks for reading the stands!
