AUBURN, Ala. — Auburn Soccer will close out the 2023 preseason this week with a pair of exhibition matches designed as final tune-ups before opening day the following week.

Auburn’s final exhibition will be held in south Alabama on Saturday, August 12 at 6 p.m. CT. The format of the game at Cage Soccer Complex in Mobile will be determined closer to kickoff.
This fall will mark the 25th anniversary of the Tigersth season under the leadership of the head coach Karen Hoppa.
“I’m really lucky to have been here for so long and very excited to get back out there for another season,” Hoppa said. “It’s hard to say what our team will be this year, but so far, so good. It’s a group of seniors with a lot of experience. What’s most encouraging for me is “It’s that we’re making great strides and showing improvement from scrimmage to scrimmage, so if we can continue on that path, it’s going to be a really fun year.”
All matches at the Auburn Soccer Complex are free and open to the public. Auburn officially kicks off the 2023 season on Thursday, August 17 at 6:30 p.m. CT against Samford. The first 250 supporters in attendance will receive a Coach Hoppa collectible mini jersey.
