The sun set on the 2017 National Championship when the North Carolina Tar Heels won the crown earlier this week. The focus now shifts to 12 months, when next year’s champion will be crowned in San Antonio.

Bovada.lv opened its odds for the 2018 National Championship and the Kentucky Wildcats start the race to the top in the eyes of Vegas with 9/1.

UNC has the second-best odds at 12/1, then Villanova joins four others – Duke, Gonzaga, Kansas and Louisville – at 14/1.

Elsewhere in the BIG EAST, Butler is at 28/1, Seton Hall is at 50/1, Xavier is at 66/1, Creighton is at 65/1, Marquette is at 100/1 and Georgetown and Providence are at 150/1 . DePaul and St. John’s have not released odds.
