3 important Kirby Smart subjects must weigh on dry media days

The 2025 edition of theSECOND The media are officially underway while Commissioner Greg Sankey launched the annual event on Monday morning. Kirby Smart And Georgia are scheduled to participate on July 15But there are many important subjects that Sankey will comment on who will have an impact on the dry and all university football.

Similarly to Sankey, Smart will also play an important role with these subjects as well as his voice and his opinion are respected by everyone in the world of university football. So, knowing how intelligent the weight is, here are three intelligent subjects would be wise to express your opinion during your session during the media on Tuesday.

1. Adjustment of adjustments to transfer the gate window

The last year’s transfer portal window was one of the most discussed subjects of all university football. Many discussions had to do with the open portal because the dates seem very random and do not make much sense with regard to the athletic and academic calendars in place.

Sankey shared that he wanted only one transfer window in early January while the big ten said that they only wanted one window after the spring ball. There is no guarantee that NCAA will make changes in the first place, but Smart’s opinion on this subject could help influence the NCAA to make a change where it is obviously necessary.

2. Potential changes in the dry calendar

There is a lot of external pressure on the dry to increase their conference schedules to nine games. This is something that Big Ten has been doing for a few years now, but the dry said it wanted to stay at eight games at the moment.

This is a subject that Smart has not discussed much publicly so far, and who knows how much he really cares. However, Smart has shared in the past that he supports the maintenance of space on their calendar for brand games without conference, so for this to remain possible, Smart can choose to share that he wants the conference calendar to remain at eight games instead of spending nine.

3. Extension of university football playoffs

Changes are probably coming to University football playoffs Before the 2026 season. This seems to be a guarantee at this stage that the land will go from 12 to 16 teams, but the composition of these teams is still under debate.

There are some different floating models with regard to the number of automatic qualifications. The “5 + 11” model is popular because it would give the five conference champions best classified an automatic offer with the last 11 places going in the next 11 schools in the final CFP ranking. There is also a discussion on the conference to give each conference a certain number of automatic qualification sites, the SEC potentially obtaining four guaranteed places each year.

Many conversations must still take place for these decisions to be made, but Smart’s opinion on the issue could gain a lot of weight because of its influence on sport.
