There were a lot of memories this last season Nashville predators Attacker Zachary happy this summer.
Back in Montreal this summer, the happy remembers the fire of joy and telling the stories of his friends to play in the NHL and with legends like Steven Stamkos.
“There were certainly a few nights with my boys at home, and you’re just sitting around the fire on weekends, speaking of stories,” said the happy. “Obviously, many of my friends grew up looking at these guys I can play with and idolize them.”
“I was able to share a few stories to be able to spend time with Steven Stamkos, Ryan O’Reilly And all these daily guys. It’s pretty cool and they love to hear it. “”
The happy one played four games with Milwaukee admirles last season before being called in Nashville and stayed there for 62 games, scoring 15 points and recording 63 minutes of penalty. During his first almost complete NHL season, the happy played an important role in the last six of Nashville.
However, entering the Predators training camp after missing a few days, he knows that his place on the list is not promised, but won.
“I have the pressure to redo the NHL,” said the happy. “Last year, the goal was to stay all year round. There were times when I felt like I was a little comfortable, so coming to camp this year, I didn’t want to take anything for granted.”
With a young talent swimming pool behind him, the happy is aware that there are a handful of prospects for predators who are also in competition for his place.
Matthew Wood Had a several -point match in the predators victory against the Florida Panthers on September 21, and Brady Martin Marked twice in the defeat of predators against the Lightning of Tampa Bay on September 23. Joakim Kemell has also been used everywhere in the alignment of pre-season.
“I’m ready to play every day and fight for a place,” said the happy. “There are a lot of young guys who were a good competition and who arose. You can see it there and in the pre-season matches.”
“I have a great opportunity here on weekends to show what I can do and what I have.”
The happy one had to play a little catch-up in the past few days, leaving the predators on September 19 early and missing the first two pre-season games of the team.
He would do his Return to the Gold Star showcase programming Thursdayallowing him to get back into things before the road games of this weekend.
“It was good to enter it. It was not a full blow, but there was still a lot of respect there,” said the happy during the melee of predators on Thursday. “The guys are not trying to withdraw their heads, but you are still in hard competition and try to win battles. It was a good first step and I think I did it pretty well.”
By aiming to feed predators this season, the happy does not only do it for himself, but for those who supported him throughout this trip. He understands that the pressure is high, but is ready to take up the challenge.
“I think I have a good support system and I want to show that I can play at this level for a long time,” said the happy. “I think I have a foot in the door. I played a lot of games, and I presented my skills and what I can do. I want to show that I can improve.”
“Obviously, it’s a great year to come for everyone, but for me, personally, it’s huge.”
