“You never know” – Man United fan favorite teases January move to Man City

Manchester United legend Cristiano Ronaldo has invited the fury of the fans who love and adore him to Old Trafford.

The striker won three Premier League titles with Man United under Sir Alex Ferguson and won the Ballon d’Or during his time with the Premier League giants.

His second stint did not end as well as he would have liked, with the player arguing with Erik ten Hag at the club, which ultimately became the reason for his departure from Old Trafford.

The legendary striker has now announced a January move to Manchester City, Man United’s Premier League rivals.

On Friday evening, Ronaldo opened the doors to a move to Man City in January when he was asked about a possible move to Pep Guardiola’s side.

The Man United fan favorite believes Man City will come back stronger from their current slump.

“Teams have moments” Ronaldo said during the Globe Soccer Awards, as reported Manchester Evening News.

“I think great teams, great players, are smart enough to understand what the problem is, where the problem is. I am 100 percent sure they will come back. Guardiola is a very intelligent coach. He knows where the problem comes from. They will be there as always.

The Portuguese was asked if he would lend Man City a helping hand to get them out of their current crisis.

“You never know what will happen” he replied with a smile.

Should Cristiano Ronaldo risk his inheritance by moving to Man City?

Man United target wants to leave his current club

It would be a huge surprise to see Ronaldo move to Man City and given they already have Erling Haaland in attack, it would be difficult to welcome the Portuguese into the team.

What Man City need right now is a midfield presence who can compensate for the absence of Rodri and someone at right-back who can be more reliable than Kyle Walker.

Signing a striker should not be City’s priority in the upcoming January transfer window.

Ronaldo is well established at Al-Nassr and even he would realize that a move to City at this stage of his career would make no sense and it would also make him the villain of Man United fans.
