LIV Golf’s Yasir Al-Rumayyan, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and DP World Tour Managing Director Guy Kinnings are all expected to be in attendance this week at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a DP World Tour event played at three of the venues the most famous golf courses: St. Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns, according to the Telegraph.
This will be the first time all three men have participated in the same event since the start of the Civil War.
Three weeks ago, officials from the PGA Tour and the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund met in New York. The two sides are reportedly working to finalize the terms of a deal that would inject more than $1 billion from the PIF into PGA Tour Enterprises, the new for-profit entity launched earlier this year.
The terrain for the Dunhill Links is loaded featuring some of the biggest names in golf including Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Tyrrell Hatton, Shane Lowry, Robert MacIntyre, Patrick Reed, Louis Oosthuizen and Billy Horschel.
It’s hard to imagine a better place to bring together all of golf’s greatest players.
