Cleveland fans won’t soon forget this one from the Guardian Epic Game 3 Victory against the Yankees on Thursday night, punctuated by monster home runs from Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry. But they don’t have much time to enjoy the win with Game 4 on Friday night and the Guardians are still facing a 2-1 series deficit.
Both starting pitchers will make their first postseason appearances – Lucas Gil for the Yankees (3.50 ERA in 151.2 innings this season) and Gavin Williams for the Guardians (4.86 ERA in 76 innings in 2024).
Do the Guardians still have a little magic after Thursday night’s exploits? They have been solid at home this season and are benefiting from all the momentum from their Game 3 win. We’ll know soon enough.
