News articles should not only explain what is happening, but should also analyze these situations. Opinion articles should express your opinions, but should also avoid any negativity that would spark anything other than a friendly debate among all fans in comments, social media, etc. owned and operated by Speedway Digest!
We are looking for qualified candidates to fill this position as quickly as possible. You will need to submit at least two columns per week*, well formatted and free of errors (grammar and spelling). We’re looking for writers who can cover the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Truck Series, NASCAR Hometracks and/or Regional Racing (K&N Series, Modified’s, etc.), NASCAR Fantasy and more!
All NASCAR Cup Series, news from these sites giving you and your writing exposure to other networks.
Speedway Digest is run entirely out of my own pocket and is therefore a unpaid staff position.
If you are interested in applying, please Send me an email with the following**, an opinion piece on any NASCAR topic and an article covering a breaking news story (driver/team/track/sponsor announcement, race weekend winner, etc. are all acceptable . No articles only on social networks will be accepted). If you have prior coverage with other sites, sample links to your coverage will be accepted.
* All contributors will be required to provide a minimum of 30 pieces (15 opinions, comments or creations and 15 race weekends) before being eligible for on-site events. Only exemptions that will be considered will be for verifiable prior work for other motorsports publications with at least one year’s minimum coverage in NASCAR or other motorsports that includes accredited on-track coverage.
