Here are three points to remember from the open part of the practice:
Florida Football Wrs showing their speed
The first -year receivers of Gators – Naeshaun Montgomery, Dallas Wilson and Vernell Brown III – came to campus in January known for their speed.
It appeared in this way during Thursday training. During the exercises with Wr Billy Gonzales coach, the three showed a good speed, especially Brown.
Brown was qualified twice on the state track in Jones in Orlando.
“He has what I cannot train, okay, and it’s speed, there are also a lot of guys who are just … They are fast, no,” said analyst Joe Houston. “And as each time, you try to be creative to get your best athlete the ball in the open field and in this position, you are almost guaranteed to get it.”
Among other receiver notes, Eugene Wilson and Khaleil Jackson remained in black and contactless practice jerseys.
The offensive coordinator Russ Callaway congratulated Babes Gators in WR.
“These guys are really good players, but they are extremely hard workers, right?” I have not seen a young group like this, not only the ability they have, but it’s almost boring how much they want to get additional work, “said Callaway. “And that’s when you know you’re on the right ones.”
Gators QB Aidan Warner looks solid
Warner was dismissed a little in open parts of practice in favor of first -year appellants of the Gators Stock Exchange – Harrison Bailey and Trammel Jones Jr.
However, Warner is the only Florida QB in addition to the DJ Lagway to have real representatives at stake. Warner started the UF match in Texas last season to replace Lagway.
He finished beautiful passes in practice, including one tightly Hayden Hansen.
Bailey and Jones also took representatives. Warner and Bailey did it together, and Jones teamed up with Aaron Wilson on foot.
DJ Lagway remained once again in a training jersey but did not launch. Instead, he practiced transfers, as he did in each of the first three practices.
The seconds and the defensive backs show their agility
Aaron Chiles, a second year student from Maryland, saw his playing time regularly increase last season. He finished with 22 plated (12 solo, 10 assisted).
In a young secondary nucleus, the Chiles will have asked him a lot in 2025. He seemed to the height of Thursday’s practice. He showed an impressive speed and agility, precipitating the new coach of the secondary Robert Bala.
Among the DBs, the first year Lagonza Hayward Jr. played well in the cover, just like Jordan Castell.
Hayward is a first -year student of Georgia who initially engaged in Tennessee before returning to Florida. 247Sports classified it as security n ° 15 in the 2025 class.
Castell, a junior for 2025, was recruited from the dry in 2023. He had an interception and 13 passing deviations during his stay as Gator.
