German World Cup winning footballer, Benedikt Howedes retired from football. He was part of 2014 World Cup Winner Germany national team. He was one of three players who played every minute for the team during the tournament.
Benedikt Howedes played 44 times of the German national team from 2011 to 2017. In September 2007, the German Football Association awarded him the Fritz Walter Medal, Under-19 gold medal which is awarded to the best young players.
