Wisconsin basketball (19-9, 11-6 Big Ten) suffered its sixth conference loss of the 2025-26 campaign Wednesday night against the Oregon Ducks, who entered the contest with a 10-17 mark.
After winning a Quad 1 victory on the Iowa Hawkeyes (NCAA NET No. 26) on Feb. 22, the Badgers added a Quad 2 loss to the Ducks, who sit in 15th place in an 18-team Big Ten conference. Entering the game Wednesday in Eugene, Oregon, UW lost a game for a double bye in the Big Ten tournament.

The loss essentially eliminated Greg Gard’s group from the competition. Considering MichiganNebraska, Illinois, Michigan Stateand Purdue’s conference records, Wisconsin would need an unlikely set of circumstances to return to the top cohort.
Wisconsin, however, claims victories over the number 1 at the time. 2nd row WolverinesNo. 8 Fighting Illini and No. 10 Spartans. These carry weight in UW’s Quad 1 resume, which is an important ingredient for NCAA Tournament seeding over the next few weeks.
