Actually, Bleacher Report’s Latest WNBA Mock Draft The Wings select Spanish teenager Awa Fam with the first pick on April 13, while Fudd is reportedly headed to the Seattle Storm in 3rd place in the general classification.
There are several reasons why this possibility may be realized. First, B/R’s Hunter Cruse says the 6’4” Fam “is an ideal complement” to the Bueckers, due to his “size, athleticism and processing speed.”

Additionally, the Wings need to consider where Fudd fits next to All-Star guard Arike Ogunbowale. Although Ogunbowale is a pending free agent, Dallas expressed interest in re-signing his all-time top scorer even after a down year in 2025.
Plus, Fam might just really be too good to pass up. Cruse writes that the 19-year-old has “an ideal offensive profile for a modern WNBA big man, blending post-scoring and efficient play as a roller and rim-runner with an expanding three-point shot.”
Although Fam’s defense is characterized as a work in progress, Cruse further writes that Fam projects as an “all-time” playmaker who would allow the Bueckers to thrive on the ball.
