Will Aaron Rodgers return to jets? Senior Bowl Buzz applied logic to creeping speculation

Mobile, ala. – NFL coaches, managing directors, scouts and perspectives went down on mobile, in Alabama, this week to watch the recovery prospects of the NFL 2025 compete in exercises and a live game against a competition similar caliber.

The interviews and the evaluations on the ground of the prospects brought the teams together to determine their boards of directors. But by bringing together so many decision -makers in the same place, whispers across the fields of practice and the halls of the hotel also addressed free agents waiting, the NFL coaching carousel and the trends in the league.

What are coaches, managing managers, agents and more to the trend of NFL subjects? Here are three things that Yahoo Sports has learned:

1. Will Aaron Rodgers go … anywhere?

Of course, Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets have mobile documents before finalizing a decision. But I was curious to know what the decision-makers who sailed at the crossroads of Carrefour paths expect the most likely when the jets go to a new diet with the head coach Aaron Glenn and the director General Darren Mougey. An high-ranking AFC leader told me that he believed that the most likely destination in the quarter of a year this year was retirement in the light of a potential drop in interest in his services.

The Browns of Cleveland, the Raiders of Las Vegas, the Giants of New York, the Jets, the Steelers of Pittsburgh or the Titans of Tennessee want that Rodgers quarter of their team? The executive questioned its adjustment among the teams needing a passer in 2025.

Another high -ranking AFC leader told me that he expects Rodgers to play but not for jets. The reasoning of the executive: if he built a team, his main objective for a new diet would be to install and rely on a system that will support a sustained success. The executive would like to build and teach players an offense that is best for the success of their long -term quarter rather than managing an attack by Rodgers in the year 1, then asking players to recalibrate their expectations For a 2nd year cure of youth.

It is too early to say if Glenn and Dougey will arrive at the same conclusion over a quarter-Arrière which came out of a year of 3,897 yards with 28 affected at 11 interceptions. The jets won only five games during the 2024 season, and Rodgers’ passer 90.5 rating ranked 21st in the League. The potential counter-argument of Rodgers: he played the 17 competitions at 40 when he left a torn Achilles tendon and undoubtedly played his best football in the section, including a final of the season with four affected.

Glenn mentioned Rodgers in introductory remarks on Monday, anticipating questions.

“Here’s what I know: Aaron Rodgers will be talked about,” said Glenn of the jets. “We have already sent SMS and had a communication with Aaron Rodgers. And while we continue to examine the list, we will make decisions accordingly. And it is with a number of people in the team. I look forward to this.

The Eagles attacking coordinator, Kellen Moore, will be in New Orleans next week for the Super Bowl. Will he finally reside there as a new head coach of saints? (Images Stephen Lew-Imagn)

2. Where does this Kellen Moore fan comes from?

For weeks, the leaders who interviewed the offensive coordinator of the Philadelphia Eagles, Kellen Moore, in recent head coaches and offensive coordinator explained to me how he impressed them. Moore struck an AFC framework as a brilliant schematic spirit with emotional intelligence, while another managing director has credited his leadership as more established than his discreet behavior could not suggest.

But when I caught up another general manager of the AFC who had not Interviewed Moore for an opening, I was surprised by his effusiveness. I asked what impression the managing director had obtained from the competition against Moore, who called the games in the past six years through stays with the Dallas cowboys, the Los Angeles loaders and now the Eagles.

The managing director told me that Moore was “exceptional about all considerations”.

I made a double socket – Did he feel that strongly of competition alone?

It turns out that the managing director had interviewed Moore during the 2012 Scouting combination after Moore published an impressive record of 50-3 as a quarter-arre starting from Boise State. The team started to queue to the clips to arouse interview questions, and not only Moore was able to remember each piece of shooting before the video rolling, but it was also able to anticipate what trend Or question forced the team to choose this clip, said GM.

The Managing Director thought that Moore would decorate respect as a head coach even if it was not ofmand. After the Super Bowl, we must have confirmed if the Saints of New Orleans agree.

The saints interviewed Moore again this week in Philadelphia and will welcome the saints in their establishment leading to the Super Bowl next week. Do not be surprised if next week is only the start of Moore’s call parts in New Orleans.

3. An advantage for SheDer Sanders

Colorado Quart-Arrière Sheder Sanders was not at the senior Bowl. But many scouts and mobile leaders have stolen from Dallas here, where they interviewed prospects at the Shrine Bowl. Sanders impressed them, including a decision -maker believing that the son of Deion Sanders was more aware than expected. Another key metric team will be taking into account: experience.

Sanders played 50 university games in total, between 26 at Jackson State, then 24 in Colorado. Yes, its last season presented an impressive completion rate of 74% with 4,134 yards by the pass, 37 affected and 10 interceptions. But the aggregated figures, not only the crescendo which they built, count.

The Miami cam district, which did not participate in star matches this week, also started 57 games in three colleges en route to a high draft actions.

The teams are hyperware in the way experienced players such as the quarter of the commanders of Washington Jayden Daniels, the Broncos Bo Nix of Denver and the Brock Purdy of San Francisco 49ers were ready to play as soon as they arrived at the League. Although the departures and the success of the NFL are not always in correlation, contrasting these three quarters-rear with the first five choices of the quarter of the Indianapolis Anthony Richardson Colts and the selection of San Francisco Trey Lance recall the evaluators talents that this league is increasingly impatient.

If staff do not have the management of management to let a quarter-roam written, the best thing he can do is increase the risk that the quarterrier is ready to succeed in a quickly in a Professional sport without development league or minor.

Prime: For those of you who like the depths of the draft, a national scout told me that their team had spotted more prospects reduced this year than ever. The transfer portal and the COVVI-19 extension deepen the recovery class for at least a year, and the teams with late additional choices could benefit. This scout thought that the seventh round will offer more pro-caliber talents this year than we have seen.
