Joey Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series championship.
Logano won the NASCAR Cup Series championship race on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway to win his third series championship.
In the final 20 laps, Logano had to hold off Team Penske teammate Ryan Blaney, who finished second in Sunday’s race.
“I lost time having to pass some guys and I just ran out of time,” Blaney said. “Congratulations to (Logano), congratulations to those guys, the No. 22 team, Pennzoil, Ford. If we’re going to face anyone for the championship, I’m glad it’s him.”
