The 2024 NASCAR The Cup Series championship race is fast approaching and two contenders are already engaged.

Joey Loganowho won the opening race of the third round of the playoffs two weeks ago at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and Tyler Reddickwho won last weekend’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, earned a spot in the championship race. The final two spots will be decided this Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.

In MartinsvilleIf any of the other six drivers remaining in the playoffs win Sunday’s Xfinity 500, they will join Logano and Reddick in Championship 4. The other spot will be determined by the playoff standings, with the driver with the most points getting last place. But if a non-playoff driver, Logano or Reddick, wins on Sunday, the final two championship spots will both be determined by points.

The Championship 4 drivers will then face the rest of the field on Sunday, November 10 at Phoenix Raceway. The top four driver with the highest finish will be crowned the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series champion.
