Carlos Alcaraz And Aryna Sabalenka are the top seeds ahead of the Australian Open main board, with Jannik sinner And Iga Swiatek the second seeds.
Alcaraz and Sinner could become the first men to play in four consecutive Grand Slam finals since Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal did so between 2011 and 2012. Alcaraz is in contention for his first Australian Open title – which would make him the youngest man ever to complete the career Grand Slam – while Sinner is in contention for a hat-trick of titles in Melbourne.

US Open champion Sabalenka and Wimbledon champion Swiatek have yet to meet in a Grand Slam final. Swiatek is also one Australian Open title away from completing the career grand slam, while Sabalenka will attempt to regain her crown after a shock defeat to Madison Keys in last year’s final.
Elsewhere, Coco Gauff arrives at the first Grand Slam of the year as third seed, while defending champion Keys is ninth among the women. Djokovic, a ten-time champion in Melbourne, will be seeded fourth on the men’s side and expect to face Alcaraz or Sinner in the semi-finals if he makes it there.
Venus Williams45, is set to become the oldest woman to enter the main draw of the Australian Open after the seven-time Grand Slam singles champion accepted a wildcard.

Wildcards
Eight wildcards and 16 qualifiers will complete the field of 128 players. The confirmed wild cards are:
-
Tiansoa Sarah Rakotomanga Rajaonah (FRA)
What to watch out for during the draw
British No. 1 Emma Raducanu is seeded at the Australian Open, meaning she cannot play another seed until the third round. However, if she succeeds, she could face any of the top eight and will therefore hope to avoid landing in the same section as Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek.
Two-time Australian Open champion Naomi Osaka, ranked 16th, would be a dangerous fourth-round tie for one of the top seeds. As for the unseeded players, former Grand Slam champion Barbora Krejickova had a good run at the US Open and could be a dangerous floater in the draw, while Daria Kasatkina and Maria Sakkari could also be avoided as they look to bounce back after difficult years.

Also watch out for Venus Williams’ first-round opponent, who accepts a wildcard at the age of 45.

What to watch out for during the draw
Novak Djokovic’s projected quarterfinal is always interesting, given that it’s the last match before he likely has to face either Carlos Alcaraz or Jannik Sinner. Félix Auger-Aliassime would be difficult, Alex de Minaur, who so badly wants to play a first semi-final at home, could be fun, Ben Shelton, if he stays fit and gets there, could be explosive.
Flavio Cobolli, fresh from his Davis Cup exploits for Italy, could trouble one of the top players in the fourth round. Learner Tien and Joao Fonseca, a year after their breakthrough at the Australian Open, would also be a tricky draw for one of the top seeds. Fonseca has yet to face Alcaraz or Sinner but could be a draw against them in the third round.

As for the unseeded players, Grigor Dimitrov, returning from an injury that forced him to retire in his Wimbledon quarter-final against Sinner and miss the US Open, is perhaps the most dangerous floating player in the draw, or former Australian Open quarter-finalist Hubert Hurkacz, who is also returning from injury but impressed in Poland’s United Cup victory.
