2024 Presidents Cup Format and Score

The Presidents Cup begins Thursday with first-round matches in four-ball format. Each match will be worth one point. In the event of a tie, both teams will receive half a point. The first team to accumulate 15.5 points over three days will win the 2024 Presidents Cup.

In the four-ball format, teams of two golfers play together. Each player plays his own ball and the team score for each hole is the lowest score of the two players. The highest score of each team on a hole is not counted.

The second-round matches, which begin Friday, will be played in foursomes format. Teams of two players representing each side will play against each other, with each golfer taking alternating shots until the hole is completed.

On Saturday, the 3rd and 4th round matches will take place, with the 3rd round using the Four-ball format and the 4th round using the Foursome format.

Finally, the fifth day on Sunday will take place in singles and will consist of 12 head-to-head matches played on the course.
