Many changes are being made to the new 12-team college football playoffs this season, and among them are some of the channels broadcasting the first round matches.

TNT will return its college football broadcasts for the first time since 2006 when it broadcasts two of the four CFP first-round games, starting with No. 11 SMU-No. 6 Penn State and No. 12 Clemson-#5 Texas both appearing on the network this season.

ESPN commentators will handle play-by-play and color analyst duties for the game, which includes Mark Jones and Dave Pasch, among others.
