Las Cruces, NM (AP)-The 30 points of Camryn Weston led the Middle Tennessee to the state of the New Mexico 71-66 Thursday evening.
Weston pulled 8 for 11 (4 for 7 in the 3-point range) and 10 out of 12 from the Franc Lunches for the Blue Raiders (19-9, 10-5 USA conference). Essam Mostafa added 15 points while pulling 6 out of 6 on the field and 3 for 3 of the line when it also had seven rebounds. Justin Bufford pulled 2 for 4 beyond the arc to finish with eight points, while adding six rebounds and three interceptions.
Christian Cook led the Aggies (15-13, 8-7) in a score, ending with 24 points. Peter Filipovity added 16 points and two interceptions for the state of new-mexic. Emmanuel Tshimanga also had eight points.
The Middle Tennessee is third in the conference classification, a Liberty match and half a game behind the second place of Jacksonville State. Raiders play UTEP on Saturday before the road matches against first place Flames and Florida International to close the regular season.
The fourth place in New Mexico, two games behind the Middle Tennessee and a half-match in front of the state of Kennesaw, welcomes West Kentucky on Saturday.
