This week’s theme is rooted so that the teams lose because they are ahead of Clemson in the ranking. To make it all important, Clemson must have a good match against UNC. I had similar reflections on Syracuse’s game, which did not have the expected result. Dabo still hopes that the season can be returned. This game can help reassure the fans base. I keep the hope that Dabo can prove that all skeptics are wrong (including me), but tigers look abyssals this year.
Syracuse c. SMU:: Syracuse has a phenomenal year (even with his match against Duke), while SMU was disappointing. Even again, SMU is favored by 17.5 points. Clemson fans need Syracuse to lose a few games to have a chance in the ACC championship and I hope it will be one of the games. In addition, it will be good to see Syracuse losing (still) after embarrassed Clemson. I will pay attention to this game and root to SMU. Put aside the rooting for the misery of Syracuse and the fact that we need Syracuse to lose a lot to access the ACC, SMU and Clemson championship will face this season, so it will be a good point of data on the way this match can take place.
Boston College c. Pitt:: The Boston College and Pitt are both at the bottom of the ACC. I do not throw stones because Clemson is also there. We play Boston College later in the year and at the start of the season, I would not have been concerned about this match, but currently I am concerned about each match that remains on the calendar. If Pitt can manage the Boston College, it will make my mind comfortable on the next Clemson match against them.
Virginia c. Louisville:: Virginia seems to be a decent football team. Their offense is good (what do we think about Tony Elliott now?). Their defense can be suspected, but they made it enough against Florida’s state to get angry. Clemson plays Louisville, but Clemson fans should be rooted for Louisville here. As we need Virginia to lose a few games to help us boost the ACC classification.
Miami c. Florida State:: OK, this game should be the one you are watching if you like university football, but we also need Florida State to lose again. This would give them their second loss of AC which will help us to direct us up of the ACC classification. This means that we have to beat Florida State when we play them later this season, but make an obstacle at the same time.
DUKE c. Cal:: Duke beat Syracuse’s brakes. Not great because Syracuse defeated Clemson’s brakes. If you follow this equation, it would mean that Duke would beat the brakes of Clemson. I don’t think Duke is as good as the score of this game would make him believe, but they were clearly better than Syracuse that day. If this is representative of what Duke is football, then they could be able to beat Clemson for sure. This game will help us better understand how good Duke is or not.
