Giannis Antetokounmpo was a force in Eurobasket, the second top scorer in the tournament and a guy who now transported Greece to the semi-finals.
But Alperen Sengun can play better.
Turkiye looks as well as any team of the tournament and is undefeated in Eurobasket, 7-0, winning 18.6 points on average, including a five-point victory against Nikola Jokic and the favorite of the tournament in Serbia. The former NBA players, Shane Larkin (13 points, five assists) and Cedi Osman (10 points, five rebounds) also contributed to victory, ending Cinderella in Poland.
Then Turkiye tries to stop Giannis Antetokounmpo and Greece. This is something that Lithuania could not do on Tuesday.
When Antetokounmpo hits his riders in the mid -range like that, nothing stops it. He finished with 29 points while pulling 9 out of 14 inside the arc. Vassilis Toliopoulos de Panathinaikos added 17 for the Greek team.
Jonas Valancunas had 24 points and 15 boards for Lithuania in defeat.
Turkiye and Greece will meet on Friday with a trip to the Eurobasket finals at stake.
