Voting: Clarksville Area High School Female Athlete of the Week October 7-13

Who should be the Clarksville area the female high school athlete of the week from October 7 to 13? Here’s your chance to vote.

Voting will be open until Thursday noon.

Previous winners this fall include Kirkwood’s Ellie Shiresfrom the northeast Sanaii PearsonFort Campbell Amanda Kalili-LiusaMontgomery Central Charlsie ReynoldsFort Campbell Makayla GalvezWest Creek Nicole Cushionberry and West Creek Leilyn Mercado.

This week’s contestants are listed below:

Ellie Arrington, cross-country skiing, Montgomery Central: Ran a time of 22:49 to finish fifth in a field of 46 at the MSCCA members meet in Dickson.

Morghan Lewis, golfer, Clarksville Academy: Tied for 13th in the DII-A state tournament at Sevierville Golf Club Highlands Course with a score of 22 on par 162 (75-87).

Zoe Phillips, golfer, Clarksville: Shot a 12-over-par 152 (75-77) on the Highlands Course to tie for 13th in the Class AA state tournament, leading the Wildcats into a tie for third place.

Shelby Smith, golf, Stewart County: Shot an 8-over-par 148 (77-71) at the Highlands Course and beat Westview’s Maddie Gray in a playoff to win the Class A state championship. Led the Rebels to a team runner-up finish.

Cassie Villa, football, Rossview: Scored three goals, including the game-winner with 29 seconds left, to rally the Hawks from a 2-0 deficit and beat Clarksville 3-2 in the District 13-AAA championship game.
