EVANSVILLE — The University of Southern Indiana women’s basketball team will be on the road Tuesday night to face the Indiana Hoosiers.
The Screaming Eagles, who won the Ohio Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles last winter, they went 7-1 on the year and had a six-game winning streak. Ali Saunders (13.4 PPG), Vanessa Shafford (12.4) and Meredith Raley (12.4) help lead one of the OVC’s premier offenses. Triniti Ralston (9.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG) is also a consistent playmaker for the Eagles.

Last season’s NCAA Sweet 16 runner-up, Indiana is 5-3 this winter. Yarden Garzon (13.8 PPG), Lilly Meister (11.6), Shay Ciezky (11.0) and Chloe Moore-McNeil (10.9) all average double figures for the Hoosiers while Meister also gets in averaged 6.8 rebounds per game, best on the team. One of the Hoosiers’ best players, Sydney Parrish, injured her left leg against Baylor during Battle 4 Atlantis on November 23.
