Team USA delivered its most complete performance of the pre-Olympic exhibition cycle with a 26-point victory over Serbia on Wednesday.

The Americans used a long run that began late in the first half to pull away from a Serbian team without Hawks point guard Bogdan Bogdanovic. While Nikola Jokic was tough to handle, Team USA got big contributions from Bam Adebayo, Stephen Curry, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards and LeBron James.

If you missed any of the action, The Sporting News has been tracking updates and highlights throughout the game.

USA vs Serbia basketball score

UNITED STATES 28 31 24 22 105

Live updates, results and highlights from the 2024 Olympics men’s basketball exhibition game between USA and Serbia

(All times are Eastern Time.)

Final: USA 105, Serbia 79

1:58 p.m.: And it’s over in Abu Dhabi.

Team USA outscored Serbia 77-51 over the final three quarters to extend the exhibition game to 3-0. The two teams will meet again to open the Olympics on July 28.

The Americans will face South Sudan in London. The U.S. team has two more preparatory matches before the real Games begin.

1:47 p.m.: The American team put in its most complete performance to date and led by 30 points at the end.

Time out on the floor.

The night seems over for Nikola Jokic, who will return to this American team in 11 days. Team USA should also soon withdraw its veterans.

USA 99, Serbia 69

1:43 p.m.: LeBron James. Hello!

With most of Team USA’s starters back, Stephen Curry and James are showing exactly why they’re the greatest of all time.

Curry scored 24 points on 6-of-9 3-pointers, and James is doing things no one has ever done just months shy of his 40th birthday.

Breathtaking. ????✈️

USA 97, Serbia 69

End of third quarter: USA 83, Serbia 58

1:36 p.m.: Three quarters are over and the American team has a 25-point lead.

Stephen Curry got the ball rolling, but the United States’ second unit made the difference.

Between Bam Adebayo, Devin Booker, Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards, Steve Kerr may have found a rotation that allows Team USA to gain an advantage over its opponents.

1:23 p.m.: After opening the quarter with a score of 15-0, the American team is comfortably installed at the end of the third quarter.

The United States leads by 18 points with 4:12 left in the third period. Timeout on the court.

USA 73, Serbia 55

1:17 p.m.: The American team is really creating a separation now.

Team USA went on a 28-5 run in seven minutes of play and the lead grew to 23 points with 7:15 remaining in the third quarter.

USA 68, Serbia 45

Half-time: USA 59, Serbia 45

1:00 p.m.: Team USA outscored Serbia 31-17 in the second quarter to take a double-digit lead at halftime.

12:58 p.m.: The American team creates some distance at the end of the first half.

Bam Adebayo made two triples in the game and now has 12 points in the game. Adebayo joins Anthony Edwards (10 points) and Stephen Curry (18 points) in double figures.

The Americans have a 14-point lead at half-time.

12:46 p.m.: This is definitely a Stephen Curry game.

Curry converts an and-one and finishes with 18 points in the first half. With this version of Curry, any team is virtually unstoppable.

Vintage Steph.

Team USA leads by four points with 4 minutes and 40 seconds left in the second quarter.

USA 44, Serbia 40

12:39 p.m.: Serbia still leads with 7:07 left in the half.

An and-one from LeBron James cut the deficit to three points, but Serbia looks like a well-oiled machine on the second night of a two-game stretch.

This is disgusting, Bron ????‍????

Serbia 34, USA 31

12:31 p.m.: Looking for Bogdan Boganovic? Despite warming up before the game, the Hawks winger did not play in this game as he continues to deal with an injury.

He should be ready to compete in the Olympics.

End of first quarter: USA 28, Serbia 28

12:30 p.m.: A counterattack that went awry for the American team led to a transition opportunity for Serbia, which tied the game at the first-quarter buzzer.

After one quarter, Stephen Curry led Team USA with nine points while Anthony Edwards quickly scored seven points for the Americans.

Aleksa Avramovic leads Serbia with eight points while Nikola Jokic has six points (on 2-of-7 shooting) and five rebounds.

12:20 p.m.: Serbia brings its energy from the beginning.

A transition dunk by Ognjen Dobric gave Serbia a four-point lead and Steve Kerr called a timeout with 3:47 left in the first quarter.

Serbia 20, USA 16

12:14 p.m.: We have reached the first break and Serbia are three points ahead.

There is 4:54 left in the first frame.

Serbia led by eight points from Aleksa Avramovic, who shot 3 of 3 from the field. Nikola Jokic had four points, three rebounds and an assist early in the game.

Stephen Curry led Team USA with nine points on 3-of-5 shooting. Joel Embiid and LeBron James both made mid-range shots.

Serbia 16, USA 13

12:12 p.m.: Serbia went on a quick 8-0 run that ended after a turnaround shot from LeBron James.

Approaching the halfway point of the first quarter, Serbia leads by three points.

Serbia 14, USA 11

12:10 p.m.: Yeah, this could be one of those games for Stephen Curry.

Curry scores another 3-pointer and then makes a 2-pointer on the next possession. The teams argue but Curry has scored all nine of Team USA’s points in the first three minutes of the game.

Steph is already cooking. ????‍????

Serbia 12, USA 9

12:06: Stephen Curry opens the scoring for Team USA with a three-pointer.

After going 1-for-6 on Monday, this could be the game Curry puts on a big scoring performance. The game is on.

Pre-match

12:00 p.m.: Departures for Serbia: Aleksa Avramovic, Marko Guduric, Ognen Dobric, Filip Petrusev and Nikola Jokic.

11:45 a.m.: A new starting unit for the American team: Stephen Curry, Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum, LeBron James and Joel Embiid get the green light.

11:30 am: Team USA continues its preparations and it looks like this could be the summer debut of Derrick White, who was recently added as a replacement for the injured Kawhi Leonard.
