The American team will travel to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris with a list full of some of the biggest stars in the NBA and against what could be the most competitive field of all time.
As the reigning four-time Olympic champions, Team USA will once again be favourites, but could face stiff competition, including a French team that will have Victor Wembanyama And Rudy Gobert.
Among those playing for the American team are: Lebron James, Stephen CurryAnd Kevin DurantUnder coach Steve Kerr, the team will look to return to the medal scene after Team USA finished fourth at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
After exhibition wins over Australia and Serbia in Abu Dhabi, Team USA is in London for its final warm-up games. On Saturday, Team USA held its own in a Thriller 101-100 against South Sudan at the O2 Arena. They will then face Germany on Monday.
The team will then travel to France where He will play three matches in Group C The qualifiers will take place in Lille on July 28 (Serbia), July 31 (South Sudan) and August 3 (Puerto Rico). The round of 16 will then take place in Paris with the quarter-finals (August 6), semi-finals (August 8) and gold medal match (August 10) at the Accor Arena.

Twelve teams have qualified for the Olympic Games, divided into three groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each of the three groups will qualify for the quarter-finals. The two best third-placed teams will also qualify for the quarter-finals. The group stage matches will be played at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille. The quarter-finals, semi-finals and medal matches will be played at the Accor Arena in Paris.

The FIBA 2024 Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournaments took place from July 2 to 7 in Greece, Latvia, Spain and Puerto Rico.
The tournaments determined the remaining four teams – Brazil, Greece, Puerto Rico and Spain – that will complete the 12-team field for the men’s Olympic basketball tournament in Paris.
