World number one Jannik Sinner will be looking to end Jack Draper’s fairytale run in New York when they meet in the US Open semi-finals later today.
Sinner is the only man left to have won a Grand Slam trophy, although the Italian is not sure the relative advantage in experience matters at this stage.
“Whoever is in the quarter-finals, semi-finals or round of 16 deserves to be there,” he said. “No victory is guaranteed. You always have to find a solution against each opponent.”
The second semi-final is an all-American encounter with Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz battling it out on Arthur Ashe for the right to be the first local player in the men’s final since Andy Roddick lost to Roger Federer 18 years ago.

What happened to Emma Raducanu?
Emma Raducanu was eliminated by Sofia Kenin in a 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 first-round loss on Grandstand Court.
It looked like it would be a short-lived outing as Kenin took the first set, but Raducanu made a match of it by sending her to three sets.
A poor service game in the middle of the deciding set proved costly, with the former champion scoring with a header.
Having played just one tournament since Wimbledon and having skipped the Olympics to focus on her preparation for the US Open, she will be desperately disappointed to fall at the first hurdle and questions remain about the direction of her career.
