North Carolina’s heels Revised their basketball list This offseason, replacing four starters from their 2024-2025 campaign. UNC slipped into the NCAA tournament, thanks to a race at the end of the season, but looked at his magic to run out against Ole Miss.
One of these four positions in North Carolina will wear a new starter to the playmaker, thanks to The departure of Elliot Gift. In the hope of replacing a gift, however, Hubert Davis hung on Colorado State Guard Kyan Evans in the transfer portal.

Evans is a player with an after-season experience himself, helping CSU to make consecutive appearances at the NCAA tournament in 2024 and 2025, beating Virginia last year and Memphis in March. Evans went from a bench rarely used in his first year season, a starter of 36 games with solid production last year.
The Colorado State plays in the Mountain West, one of the most underestimated conferences of university basketball, which sends many teams to the big dance each season. The Tar Heels hope to re-adjust a coherent threat in the post-season game, with an appearance in 2024 Sweet 16 their deepest race since the appearance of the 2022 national championship match.
One has another rotation in the deep rear area this coming season, with Evans, Trimble SethDerek Dixon, Isaiah Denis, Jonathan Powell and Jaydon Young. Evans prospered in his first season as a departure leader of Colorado State, starting the 36 games and anchoring his team’s race to a Mountain West tournament championship. The Rams qualified for the round of the 32 -year -old NCAA tournament, upsetting Memphis before falling in Maryland.
Evans collected an average of 10.6 points, 3.1 assists and 2.9 rebounds per match in its second campaign in CSU. Fans of Tar Heel will appreciate the effectiveness of Evans as a shooter: 47.1% in the field, 44.6% in depth and 85.2% of the Launch line.

Evans will be the starting point of North Carolina this coming season. UNC has many rear zone options, but Evans is the only real leader.
The Tar Heels can also choose to give the Combo Derek Dixon and Isaiah Denis Point tasks guards, but they are first -year students. Evans is a junior PG with a lot of collegial experience.
