Sept. 4 — After winning back-to-back national championships, the UConn basketball team will play a tough non-conference schedule that includes 11 games next season.

The toughest stretch will come in December, when the Huskies host Baylor in the Big East-Big 12 battle on Dec. 4, visit Texas in Austin on Dec. 8 for their only true non-conference road game and then meet Gonzaga on Dec. 14 in the 2024 Hall of Fame Series at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Last season, UConn beat Gonzaga 76-63 on Dec. 15 at Seattle and beat Texas 81-71 on Nov. 20 at Madison Square Garden.

The Huskies will also play in the eight-team Maui Invitational in Hawaii from Nov. 25-27. They will face Memphis in the first of three games, then Colorado or Michigan State. North Carolina, Auburn, Dayton and Iowa State are also on the roster.

They will raise the 2024 national championship banner on opening night at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs on Wednesday, Nov. 6 before hosting Sacred Heart. They have won the previous seven games in the series.

They will also host New Hampshire (Nov. 9), a team they beat by 20 points last November in Storrs, Le Moyne (Nov. 13), Texas A&M-Commerce (Nov. 19) and Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 30). This will be the program’s first meeting with Le Moyne and Texas A&M-Commerce.

Match locations, start times and television information will be announced at a later date.

Before the season begins, UConn will face Rhode Island in a charity game on Monday, Oct. 14 at Mohegan Sun Arena. The Basketball Hall of Fame induction game will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer.
