Nebraska football defensive lineman Ty Robinson was named to the Associated Press All-Big Ten second team. The announcement was made Friday morning.
Robinson had another solid season for the Huskers. He played in 12 games this season and recorded 33 combined tackles. He has been an asset to the program, totaling six sacks this year. He also had three pass deflections and a forced fumble.
Robinson played at a high level during his time at Nebraska. He has been a defensive mainstay for the program over the past two seasons. In total, he collected 130 tackles and 11 sacks in five seasons with the Huskers.
The defensive playmaker will have one last chance to make an impact on the program as the Huskers prepare for the Pinstripe Bowl on December 28. It will give him the opportunity to put a storybook end to what has been a whirlwind Huskers career.
