“Not only is Tony a winner here, but he was part of what really got the Chili Bowl off the ground in the early 2000s, and he’s the one who really started rebuilding the bond between dirt track and NASCAR fans. He’s an ambassador for our sport on more levels than anyone; he’s a great friend, and they don’t make them like Tony anymore, so to be able to honor him as our Grand Marshal means a lot to me, and this event,” said Emmett, co-founder of the Chili Bowl. Hahn. “I remember we gave Tony an award in 2014 to recognize what he did for Sprint Car racing, but this is our chance to let him know how much the Chili Bowl appreciates him.”
